Tobacco was not introduced into Europe until 1548, and some of the first seeds were planted in County Cork, Ireland. Although it quickly grew in popularity, King James the First (1566-1625) greatly suppressed cultivation by raising taxes/duties. He claimed this was due to the "pernicious stink and perversion of the soil" it represented and was causing.
Tobac Fanaile is dedicated to those who look forward to donning some "pernicious stink" and being noticed.

Nice scent, very good lather and post-shave feel.
Pleasing sweet scent and excellent performances!
Nice lather, good lubrication. I was disappointed in the strength of the scent. I like the scent, just was hoping for more of it. Not as strongly scented as other shave soaps I usually use.
I had owned some of the earlier offerings from Murphy and McNeil and loved the performance, it was just a tad bit too soft for me. I used the Tobac Fanaile for the first time this morning and I cannot say enough good things about this soap. This Aon base is outstanding, is a lot more firm and the performance and post-shave from this soap is amazing. I am so happy that they produced this tobacco offering and if have not tried Murphy and McNeil products, I would highly recommend as this moves to the top of my preferences for outstanding shave soap offerings.
