Believe it or not, "John Frum" is a religious figure that came out of island populations in WWII.  It is thought that natives who had never before experienced advanced outsiders, were enthralled with technology, dress, and cargo (hence: cargo cults) subsequently developed religion and practices around these figures they believed would bring more "cargo" (advanced goods) to their people.  It's a very interesting story!  The fragrance of John Frum is described as a modern musk scent.
