A mystery spanning ages, the symbol of the Green Man is of uncertain origin. Nearly always, the he is depicted as a face surrounded by leaves and other foliage, sometimes with leaves and or vines growing out of his ears or mouth.
Believed widely to be another symbol of growth and rebirth, as nature... yet with a human persona. Perhaps the Green Man symbolized man's necessary bond with nature, or even man's emergence *from* nature. Images of the Green Man absent the foliage, only as a skull with old vines may be meant to symbolize man's eventual return to nature, or the outcome of man's impact on nature should the balance not be protected.
Images of the Green Man have been found far predating the Roman Empire, and is generally assumed to be pre-Christian in origin, often associated with the Celts.

Scent and performance are top-notch.
Another Great M&M Soap
I enjoy the scent and performance is excellent. Super slick and very protective. One of the few soaps I’ve tried that can tame a Feather blade with my most aggressive razors. Great post shave also.
I am new to wet shaving and this is my first purchase of an artisan shaving soap. For a beginner like me, it lathers easily and smells great. It's nice and slick for a close shave.
Outstanding Soap and Service
Great scent... one of my top 3 favorites from M&M. Keep up the good work Bill!
Green Man shave soap is a Fougere scent which is made up of Anise, Citrus, Lavender, Jasmine, Oakmoss, Rosewood, and Vanilla. This soap is extremely soft, in my opinion, I would call it a thick cream. It takes a great deal of water. However, I would not recommend blooming this soap, but rather just adding a little bit of water at a time to find that sweet spot. The soap also a very good post shave and very nice slickness as well.
